Guild Wars 2: An idea for a Tutorial Zone

In this particular post I would like to take the time and talk about how Arenanet could possibly add a tutorial zone to the game, where the goal is to not be overwhelming, but show enough that new players could understand the core mechanics of the game and very likely some other features.

I try to flesh this out as much as possible to explain how certain things could be taught or shown through this idea of a “tutorial zone” and will try to say as well why it should be the way I idealized them. I understand this idea is very ambiguous, obviously this is something that I wouldn’t expect to ever happen, since I believe it is a bit too much effort to do, just for the sole reason to teach/show new players very basic and core features of the game. Hence this is just my own little idea.

Guild Wars 2: The Casual, the Hardcore and the Elitist.

No, this unfortunately isn’t continuing with them going into a bar, but I would like to talk about these terms people lately been throwing around a lot! And of course a lot of underlying issues in the game related to these and why we are possibly where we are right now with the community and player-base.

I warn you already, this whole article is going to be lengthy, and expect ramblings hard(!) so don’t expect a quick short read either 😄. These are just my thoughts on certain subjects that been thrown up a lot in the past month or so since EoD release.

Also please understand when I’m saying “you” at some parts below, I’m not literally pointing at you as the reader, but putting the perspective of certain people onto that “you”. 😵

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope all of you will have a happy, better and possibly more successful year in 2022! 💚

I have plans for the next year, I somewhat hope to make a bit more progress in my life, I personally promised myself to turn on power-saving mode financially for the whole year and see how much I can manage to save. I wish to move out of this country, hopefully in 2023 I manage to get out to my SO in the UK. I simply need to get out of here to be able to finally move forward with my personal life, as long I’m here, I’m completely chained in a scary place, which I don’t like.

For you all, I too wish a lot of progress, anything you ever wished to do, I hope you succeed at it, but even if not, remember, failure is not a bad thing, neither the end of the world!

GW2: A fun theory on the Mists and EoD

Well buckle up my peepos, because I’m about to bring you on a journey. Maybe not the best journey, maybe with some flaws and empty holes here and there, but ain’t theorizing fun this way?

Alright, almost 99% chance NONE of these will ever happen in the game, but I will present you all a fun lore theory and “connecting the dots together” style of idea regarding the Mists in the GW universe and a possible connection and perhaps a route or two that could give us some possibilities for…. future content after EoD? Mists expansion? Utopia 👀?

Welcome!

Well this will be the first real post on this site! Although I will consider this post as a typical “test” post as well.

Either way, I am pretty happy about how the site turned out, especially since I’ve done this all on my own this time. My previous work-related website was done with quite a lot of help, but I wished to learn at least some basics, enough that so I could create something on my own as well and perhaps learn more in the process.
