The Blackrose is an interesting ‘phenomenon’ and entity herself. A kind of a singularity or so to say. She is related to the universe where Noxxi herself exists, and even beyond that, in alternate realities, times and universes.

Her existence comes with the event of Noxxi’s previous life, at the time when she near death. When she got sentenced to death, at the moment of her execution the four strongest emotions she felt were the ones that, one could say, manifested as The Blackrose, while Noxxi became her current self. Both of them came to life at this very moment, however the Blackrose herself exists in 4 different reality and space at the same time. So she is one entity, but also simultaneously exists at four different time, space and reality. However each of the four acts somewhat differently from one another, and each excels more in some of their limited abilities. The existence of the Blackrose is also tied to Noxxi’s existence, meaning she will exist as long Noxxi does.

While it can be confusing, please keep in mind that the “main” Blackrose out of the four is the one within the same universe as Noxxi.

Appearance

The Blackrose is visually very similar to Noxxi with a few major and minor differences. The most obvious visual feature is her complete dark grayscale colo scheme with only one single subtle yet prominent color, the scarlet red lips, eyes and claws.

Compared to Noxxi whose ears are always perked up happily, her ears are instead always drooped down to the sides in a rather melancholic way, her hair is also more straight and less messy. Her hair almost acts like a giant silky cloak for her.

Her body pattern matches with Noxxi’s in the sense the skin on her limbs turns completely dark, while her body has a semi-dark grey color by default and her front part has a lighter grey tone.

Her eyes are unusually vivid red, it is a very iconic feature of hers, which can be also seen from great distances as well. Just its mere sight gives the feel of impending doom for any being. Since she lacks the ability to shapeshift or change her body in any form, she does not have the ability to create a general “clothing” (like how Noxxi is able to simply create any kind of clothing on her body which is part of her) due to this she visually may appear to be “naked”, however since neither of them possess an actual normal body (they both are energy-beings with a physical shape), they do not possess body features similar to nipples or genitals.

Four as One

As mentioned previously, the Blackrose is a single entity, however split between four different universe and time. While she is a completely destructive force, all four part of her has a different purpose with differing powers and behaviors. The four of them can be separated into the 4 strongest negative emotions Noxxi felt in her previous life, which are Depression, Fury, Revenge and Injustice.

The Blackrose of Depression:

The one existing within Noxxi’s own universe, the one who pursues her. From story standpoint she is the most important, while her behavior is “less violent” compared to the others, she is still a huge threat and is extremely deadly. Her iconic ability is her deathly presence, or aura of death. Every single living being or any being that acts like or mimics to be a sentient being will be granted a limited lifespan while within a huge area around her.

The lifespan of every being around her accelerated to its end the closer they are to her. The further away you are, the less affected you are by it. However anything within her immediate presence will perish on an instant. The only single being who is unaffected by this is Noxxi, since they both are unaffected by each other’s abilities that would cause any injury or death.

While she unfortunately began existing with this power, she never asked for it or for her existence. She forever despises her green counterpart who can enjoy life and the company of living beings. The truth is, she craves for company, something she will never be granted as it is simply impossible for her to happen. Her ability further spirals down on her own mood, the worse and angrier she feels, the stronger and larger the aura will become, greatly increasing its effectiveness, which also angers her further more in realization of how deadly she is and that nothing can ever approach her or ever touch her.

The fact that her existence and life is tied to Noxxi’s angers her, and due to this, she pursues her and each time they meet she tries to force her to end her existence, something that Noxxi will not do however. This still won’t stop the Blackrose, she simply blames nobody but her for their existences.

She can be extremely melancholic, she essentially swings between anger, melancholy and depression. How would one feel, when all they crave for is company and the touch of someone else and to experience life, while in reality, they are death themselves? Whose mere presence on a planet fills every being with the feel of fear, impending doom and anxiety.

One thing that manages to calm her is visiting long lost and ruined civilizations that been either wiped out or gone extinct long ago. Sometimes she simply strolls through these planets, simply feeling void, something that reminds me of herself, yet somewhere where she cannot kill anymore.

The Blackrose of Fury:

As the name suggests, she is the furious side of the Blackrose, seething with anger. She exists in the universe and space that is within Noxxi’s body. She is a constant force of destruction with no break or any pause, by continuously traveling that universe she destroys and obliterates every single planet she encounters.

She lacks the passive deathly aura, however she is the strongest among the four. She possesses so much force and power physically, that it is a child’s play for her to shatter planets. While she is destructive, this infinite universe is, in a sense, a battery for Noxxi’s ability to create life out of thin air. Everything that the Blackrose of Fury destroys, material and energy that is left behind after all the destruction will be subconsciously used by Noxxi to bring life and energy into her own universe.

She has an infinite craving for destruction, an unstoppable disaster and force roaming the universe.

The Blackrose of injustice:

Exists in a mirror dimension of the universe where the Blackrose of Revenge exists. Purely exists to punish those who conquer or slay other races and lives. She is completely unstoppable, nothing phases her and is merciless. She is somewhat of an irony herself, as while she wipes out life forms who conquer or harm other races of alien planets, with the goal of abusing, harming or enslaving them. She herself is also unjust as she make no exception when she goes after a race who she deems unjust.

If a single fleet of your races decides to visit an alien planet and harms those who reside there naturally, she will eventually arrive and wipe out your entire race with no exceptions. While it may sound extremely aggressive, this happens relatively not so often. When she ends with her job, she simple settles down somewhere or casually roams the universe, but will not cause harm or be aggressive toward any other life around her. She highly avoids any life form during this period, and usually she finds a place to sit or lay down at to “fall asleep”. While it may seem strange it is actually not a resting state for her, she simply stays in a meditative-like state where she zones out.

Sometimes hundreds or thousands of years can pass before she senses ‘injustice’. When this happens, she breaks through everything with ease and moves on to her destination. This part of the Blackrose is the least destructive one as her aggressiveness and violence only happens on very specific cases and times.

The Blackrose of Revenge:

The part of her that exist in the past of Noxxi where it all began. At the moment of her death, in this pocket dimension, the event of the execution loops in time infinitely. When it happens, it’s only the Blackrose of Revenge who remains at the place of where they were. There she emerges suddenly at the moment of execution, this colossal furious being of darkness, filled with revenge. She goes on a rampage and through weeks and months it’s nothing, but bloodshed through this planet.

The only ones who survive are the ones who are innocent in her eyes, the ones who never caused harm and was only harmed and abused, the ones who are truly weak and mean no harm. All the rest will perish, all those who are deemed to die in her perspective shall be hunted down and ended mercilessly. When all who were destined to die on this planet is ended, she is fulfilled and then it all starts over. She begins a new cycle. Over… and over, for an eternity. The vengeful dark demon where the last thing you hear is the slashing of her mere claws that can cut through anything.

For fun, I have created a few edited voice over lines from League of Legends to somehow show what her tone and voice would sound like. Please ignore the actual lines as they don’t exactly represent the character, it’s more to simply show the tone and voice.
